What is Non-Immigrant Ed visa? Who is it for?
Non-immigrant Ed or Non-Ed is the type of visa for foreigners who wish to enter Thailand for educational purposes.
In other words, you are eligible to apply for a Non-Ed visa if you apply to the class that allows you to hold the visa.
Want to get a full-time education in Thailand? This student visa is the right choice for you.
In addition, this Non-immigrant ed visa is a perfect choice if you wish to stay in Thailand for a long term but are not eligible for other types of Visa.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that class attendance is required for this non-immigrant Ed visa.
Meaning that you need to actually attend to the class, otherwise, you are risking yourself as the authority may run a random check.
On the side note, even you are granted for a long-term stay in Thailand with Non-ed visa, you are still required to do 90 days report to the Thai Immigration Office.
How long are you able to stay in Thailand with Non-Ed Visa?
If you apply for the Non-immigrant Ed for the first time, you will be granted a period of stay up to 90 days.
Feeling that 90 days is too short for learning something? No worries!
After you get your initial visa, you are eligible to extend the Non-B visa for up to another 12 months depending on your study program of choice.
So, basically,
you will be granted 90 days of stay first.
Then, if you wish to stay longer, with a confirming letter from the school/institute, you can possibly do a 1-year visa extension.
If you apply for non-immigrant Ed visa, you need document support from approved school/institute by authorities.
I am holding tourist visa / entered Thailand with visa exemption, can I apply for Non-Ed visa?
Normally, if you want to apply for a visa, you need to apply it from the authorities such as Thai Embassy or Thai Consular outside the Kingdom of Thailand.
But for this particular Non-Ed visa,

What courses allow you to apply for Non-Ed visa?
There are 2 types of courses that we are offering you in order to apply for the student visa:
- Thai Language Course
Initially, you will get 3 months stay permission. After the first 3 months, you can extend the visa for another 12 months. So, it’s 15 months in total.
- Muay Thai Traning Course
It’s a 6-month long course. Initially, you will be granted with 3 months period. After that, you are eligible to do another 3 months visa extension.

- Valid Passport
- Completed TM. 6 Form (Departure Card)
- Passport sized photo (4*6 cm.) with white background. A Suit or a white shirt is recommended.
